Tar Heels Set Novice Tryouts
The North Carolina rowing program has announced open tryouts for the 2008-09 season. The process will begin with an interest meeting on Aug. 21 at 7:30 p.m. in Murphey Hall, Room 116. Rowing is heading into its 12th year as a varsity program at UNC. The team consists of a varsity squad, made up of experienced rowers, and a novice squad, which consists mostly of athletes who had no rowing experience when they came to North Carolina. (more)
