Chapel Hill, N.C. ----- Single game tickets for North Carolina's home football games against McNeese State (Aug. 30), Connecticut (Oct. 4), Boston College (Oct. 25) and Georgia Tech (Nov. 8) will go on sale Saturday, July 19 at 10 a.m. Single-game tickets will be available exclusively at www.TarHeelBlue.com, the official website of the North Carolina Athletic Department. All single game tickets are $50.

In 2008, the Tar Heels welcome back 10 starters on offense, including playmakers Hakeem Nicks and Brandon Tate at wide receiver, Greg Little at tailback, Garrett Reynolds at offensive tackle and T.J. Yates at quarterback. Defensively, Carolina returns eight starters, including freshman All-Americas Deunta Williams at safety, Marvin Austin at defensive tackle and Quan Sturdivant at linebacker.

"We've been working extremely hard this offseason and are looking forward to the start of the 2008 campaign," says head coach Butch Davis. "Having seven home games will create a tremendous amount of excitement and anticipation for our fans. The fans were such a huge part of our success last year at home and this schedule will certainly create even more excitement."

In 2007, North Carolina sold out five of its six home games and averaged more than 57,000 fans, the highest average in more than a decade.
