General: A returning letter winner who was Carolina's top breaststroker as a freshman in 2007-08...tops UNC's preseason depth chart in the 200 breast at 1:58.74 and ranks No. 2 on the depth chart at 56.10 in the 100 breast...took several seconds off his career best in the 200 IM as a freshman...one of UNC's most improved swimmers as a freshman.
Long Course Highlights: Qualified for the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials in the 200-meter breaststroke.
2007-08 (Freshman): Set career best times in 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 56.10, in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:58.74 and in the 200-yard IM with a time of 1:51.59, all achieved at the ACC Championships...his time in the 200-yard breaststroke places him in 2nd place in school history...claimed second place at the ACC Championships in the 200 breast...was a consolation finalist in the 100 breast and won the bonus consolation final in the 200 IM at ACCs...earned first-team All-ACC honors.
